I never even made it in to a so called Doctor. They had me fill out "New Patient" forms and would let me know if ANY doctor would even take me as I had many health issues and medications. I waited a week, nothing. Called back and they had no record of me even personally handing them these papers along with a very detailed history and medication paperwork I typed up on my own, in my stupidity, thinking I'd be saving them time and they would actually appreciate all the details. Granted, I have more than an average patients medical problems. It seems as though too many. Add to to the office having no record of me, or my paperwork ( love to know where my very private and personal HIPPA information handed to them, went to!). Handed it to them again (good thing I made a copy of what I gave them.) and waited another week. Nothing! Called again and their response was some doctor was on vacation, give it another week, meanwhile, I now was at their mercy as I had no Dr. Anymore as I didn't ever think such incompetence would happen in what seemed to be a very professional building and the amount of physicians in the practice.
A month later after finding a new doctor, they called and gave me an appointment with one of the female Doctors. As this facility is blocks from my home, I figured I'd give them one more shot. The woman that called me to confirm my appointment with Dr. Gloria Guptill, said not once, but three times, "We have a $50.00 cancellation policy." I had every intention on going so the next morning at 7 AM called (caller I'd was from Puru) said " I am cancelling your appointment as I don't prescribe some of your medications and said we can't take you as a patient!" As we do not prescribe the medication??? I am on pain medicine for my back and neck which is literally fusing itself together and I am leaking Cerebral spinal fluid from my ear, tear duct and when I bend over, right nostril, in which I will be having surgery for... They cancelled on me with a few hours notice. The reiterated it three times to me about that cancellation fee.. I should have sent THEM a bill for cancelling on me and wasting my time!
Worst ever I have encountered ever and I have been sick with one thing after another, including cancer, since I was 9 years old. Please find someone else like Dr. Furman in Delmar at 4 corners area.
Forgive me, but these idiots were snotty, rude, VERY unprofessional, and I have no clue how there are that many medical providers and not one can prescribe pain medicine for which I have many years of documentation for. Being on social security/ disability, I'm not looking for drugs to sell... lol I honestly think they pre-judge me as a drug dealer or something. I would NEVER recommend them as far as a medical practice overall, and that you not step foot or hand over any personal information. Much less, leaving your health in their hands. I was shocked at the behavior of the people at the desks and the doctors. I beg that you go elsewhere. For your own health as right after this I had a stroke.
I am in good hands now. But they are bottom of the barrel in professionalism, orginazation, and any other word you may wish to insert for the worst!
I also reported them to the proper medical associations, board of health and humane serv. And HIPPA people. They were going to conduct an investigation last I knew.
I would give no stars but... FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO GO!!!! Every Albany Med ER is a better option including the wait. ( sorry this is so long, I just want you guys informed in detail how bad they truthfully are!)

This place is deplorable. This is the second time that I went there and the doctor didn't arrive to the premises until 9:45 am. Please note that the facility opens at 9:00 am. My son had a raging fever during a blizzard, and his pediatrician's office was closed, which is why I returned. The nurse took my son's temperature and then basically scolded me for not treating him sooner, even though it was due to the doctor's late arrival. Upon telling me that we had an emergency on our hands, he then proceeded to sit back down, finish typing and did not get the doctor for another five minutes, despite my pleas. The doctor was standoffish and told me that it was basically my fault and that I should have been giving my son meds every three hours, even though I told them he had just woken up with this ailment two hours ago. They then came back in and were annoyed that we were taking too long to clear out the room after they brushed us off because I was struggling to gather my belongings and carrying my fever-ridden, lethargic sonto my car. Highly upsetting.

Poor experience! Waited well over two hours. The receptionist asked me why I was there and said I don't even know what they can do for you. Calls the back & turns out of course they can treat me. Very rude. The only nice and caring person was the nurse. I would recommend going anywhere else.

I waited for over an hour and a half before I was curtly advise that it usually takes 2-3 hours to see a doctor. I'll not be going back unless I have nothing better to do than sit in a waiting room. Sick and feverish. Urgent care indeed.
I am appalled. Whoever manages this operation needs a lesson in management. If you are sick and need help go somewhere else.
