Very good driver, helpful and efficient, but not at all satisfied with the office. Waited ten minutes in the freezing cold and had to ring back to get some attention. I do believe we had been forgotten. Bad start to a long day and for a 91yea old.

Use any York taxi service but Station. They bring a new meaning to the description - incompetent. They are trying to make use of credit card payment and an app. First, they charge more than a metered fare for the privilege of using it. Second the customer ends up paying cash in the taxi whilst a further two payments are taken from the credit card.
Little wonder Uber offering a fixed fare in at the time of booking, rapid pick-up and an efficient service are rapidly conspiring Dinosaurs like Station to history.

Just got a taxi from York Station to Hilton Hotel. How rude was the taxi driver. He did not speak throughout the journey and grunted the fare at me. After getting my case out and leaving it on the pavement to fall over in the wind I struggled out of the car and just stopped my case going under his car. I don’t expect to have my case thrown on the pavement while I am still in the car and then watch it fall over. It is only luck I had nothing breakable. Appauling service.

I only use these taxis if I really have to as the service is appalling. The drivers know they have no competition as they are already there at the station which usually beats having to ring up and wait for a cab. One driver recently went as slowly as possible, 20mph on a 40mph road, stopping to let people cross the road who would have happily waited. The one I've had just now was trying to charm the two ladies I travelled with, picked up my Southern accent and immediately made an immature comment that I won't waste time sharing on here. Hurry up Uber in York and give these idiots something to worry about, they've had it too easy for too long. If it was possible to give zero stars I would have done.

Excellent and reliable taxi service - the only taxi company that York schools use due to the firm ensuring extensive checks on drivers etc. They're always busy which is great to see and highly used Hackney cabs. I will ALWAYS choose these over "Uber" services - who do not check their drivers by the way! I will always want to travel with a regulated and checked drivers.
Most drivers are friendly and chatty - there are some who are quiet but every driver is different!
Be aware that at times when roads close traffic is a nightmare which might delay the taxi - this is not their fault!
