I had my first ever spa treatment here the other day - I was dubious as I wasn't sure this would be my thing but I ended up really enjoying my facial. The staff were very professional and accommodating. Also loved the relaxation room, could've stayed in there all day!
I felt the swimming pool let the spa down a bit - it's fairly small, not very deep and also the depth of the pool is the same throughout. I just found it a little boring really.
My only other criticism would be that it wasn't made clear where the classes were taking place during the day. Our spa package stated that we could join any classes that weren't full but we didn't even know where to find them.
To end on a positive note, the cafe had a great menu and was very reasonably priced. Lots of healthy options as well as some nice cakes!
All in all, we had an enjoyable day and some much needed relaxation!

Sadly the food was poor we had very small finger size sandwiches in bread that was slightly stale, a scone a tiny macorroon and a tiny eclair. I would not recommend the afternoon tea at all complete waste of money ! Worked out APX £20 for very little food 🙁

newly refurbished, with great equipment, great place to go for classes and workout,free car park, warm and welcoming staff on the reception. Highly recommended

Membership is a nagging reminder to exercise. But it's well worth the effort. A huge choice of activities for someone like me who loves variety over fixed routine, go with the flow because every day is different so is my body tone for the day.

14th August booked to take my daughter through Groupon £99.00 for treatments and afternoon tea. Afternoon tea was a builders mug with teabag left in , 1slice of bread each cut into two fingers with some terrible filling , scone which was stale didn't come with butter had to ask the dope behind the counter , tiny finger eclair with off cream , I felt so guilty I asked my daughter if she would like something else . We chose prawns with Bannatyne sauce on a bed of spinach , we both left it it was awful. My cousin had arranged to meet us for lunch I felt so embarrassed we had gone there,hers was as bad , we then went for our treatments we were in the same room asked to undress and get under the towels on the bed , I genially thought these girls had forgotten us after about 15 minutes the girls came in the never said hello or introduced themselves it was justlike something out of a comedy show , one asked my daughter how her skin was then the other asked me this went on all repeating each other's sentance through the session. Obviously speaking from a script , if I hadn't paid £100 it would have been funny because it was like a comedy show , I'm more of a beauty therapist than either of thes 2 staff. Don't waste your money on this unprofessional establishment , I will have to take my daughter somewhere else , I would like to seeBannatyne eat or have treatments here , I wouldn't have fed the lunch to my dogs , Groupon stop selling this place in York it will get you a bad reputation .
