The drinks are a pretty good price. Our group had a casserole, fish and chips, pie, burgers and roast chicken. The first three were good; the burgers however weren't very tasty and were on buns so overheated in the oven they began to crumble, and the chicken was very dry. The atmosphere is of a very traditional pub with beautiful dark beams in the low ceilings. Worth visiting for the atmosphere and a drink.

Just had the most gorgeous home cooked
food in ages! A really nice good old fashioned pub with fab food. The guy serving us is a sincere host. First visit but will come again.
Kids bouncy castle is a good touch. Very few places in York offer kids play without it being a chain venue.
