Nice big bit of open space, not too far from the City Centre. Very quiet normally, unless there is a race meeting going on, in which case avoid like the plague!

An afternoon racing on the knavesmire warm sunny weather plenty of seating and excellent facilities lots of people but not crowded

Large parkland area in York and home to York Racecourse. It's undeveloped as the area can be quite marshy but makes for a great place to exercise or just take a stroll and better still to let your youngsters charge about getting rid of excess energy.
