Absolutely horrific.
The wallpaper was peeling off in the bedroom, the pillows resembled pancakes more than they did pillows. The bed was of a terrible quality. There was about a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the door creating an awful draft so the room was cold. (My partner could fit his hand underneath it.)
The bathroom looked like it was a reject from the 60's and it smelt funny.
This is certainly not worth the £50. We were only there around 20 minutes and then moved to a travel lodge which for an extra £10 than the cost of this place which was exceptional.
No refund was given but I will be chasing it up. Please don't book here.
(Not even worth the 1 star)

We enjoyed our stay once we was given a better accommodation. We found the staff very helpful and although at first glance it looked a little worn down, it looks like it is being done up bit by bit. We really loved how close it was to the sea and lead to some lovely walks.

I went to this tired old holiday camp for a Big Band weekend, I booked an up-grade for a bit more space, but the chalet was just outside the entrance to the late night bar, so I requested a move, the receptionist, as with all the staff was very plesent and helpful. Unfortunately the new room was in the middle of a block and had no windows, just a fan light in the ceiling,we decided to put up with it. The dining room is completely self service, the food is plentiful, well cooked, but very bland. The Big Bands turned out not to be the usual 17 or 18 piece Big Bands, but the same 8 piece band with singers, for all three nights. It was billed as the Joe Loss Orchestra. For Big Band followers it was the Dead Loss Orchestra. Having said that the audience loved them, the hen party's and the zimmer frame brigade were dancing nonstop all night. The ballroom and bar seating was ample for the large amount of people there, the gardens and lawns were all very well kept, and the complex has a large car park. We came away early after two nights, on the Sunday morning. Any criticism in this review should be weighed against the cost of the weekend which was very very low. (Silk Purse/Sows Ear)

Have just returned from a 4 night break, really feel let down by standard of this place. Staff do best they can but there just are not enough of them on duty. We paid extra for half board but ended up eating out a few times, the queuing system is horrendous. You are lucky to get what you want to eat , if you were not there to queue up at the start getting towards the end of service it looked as if a swarm of locusts had landed. Never got a whiff of porridge all gone every morning. Was led to believe that not everybody had paid for food but there was no check system in place , half the people could have come from else where for all we knew.
On arrival we had to ask for our bed sheets to be changed these were mouldy and marked, this was done eventually, and the Wednesday servicing of rooms was not carried out. We have been to a few of these places and usually go with the flow but felt that I had to say something about this.

Absolutely wonderful weekend away. Really good food and staff. Even though they were run off they're feet. Well done to the few that worked tirelessly to make course stay so pleasant.
