Really nice garden with many seats. Food us ok for a pub. Drinks are at a reasonable cost. Really nice during summer time. Looking forward to going back.

Duck salad starter followed by steak & ale pie, chocolate fudge cake,good food, good hosts,value for money, planning our next visit.

I didn't eat here but the food looked nice. I stopped by on a hike and enjoyed a refreshing beverage in the back garden. The view is excellent and the garden very well appointed.

My Daughter booked this venue for lunch for four. We wanted a hearty meal before attending the local steam Railway as a belated birthday present.
Beautiful gardens and lovely surroundings, pub located off the beaten track in a small village. What a gold mine!!! We all have varied tastes & chose from the specials board. I had the pork belly with mash & veg £12.95 cooked to perfection. The beef & ale pie, with veg £10.95 was of excellent quality & quantity. Meatballs with pasta forget the cost, but mum loved it and my daughter ordered the sirloin steak at £17.95. We then requested cheese on her chips for our "cheese monster", once she saw someone else was served them. This was after we had already ordered & her face was a picture once the plate was put before her.
Staff where friendly & polite - nothing was too much trouble. Whole meal with drinks approx £54.
If you want somewhere a little special or would like to drop in for a steak sandwich or a curry & rice with a beer, please take the time to find this, out of the way establishment. You will not be disappointed. We had a great Saturday afternoon.
