A little out of the way, but a fast service. Not a superstore but a good selection of goods in stock. There starf are helpfull and friendly.

Service is always really slow.. even when there aren't many people waiting. Staff are helpful and apologetic, so it seems they are just under resourced perhaps? Still there isn't much choice as it's the only Argos in town and still provides a good range.

Purchased a set of bathroom scales, they were inaccurate, you'd weight yourself, then weight yourself half an hour later and be 4lbs heavier. Took these back, got another set, got these all the way home, box torn where someone had obviously opened it before me, it was obvious it'd been returned by a previous customer.
Removed these from the packaging and they were faulty, the needle wouldn't go past 4st, obviously why the previous person had returned them. Again had to take these back to the store, that's 3 round journeys amounting to 18 mile in petrol.
When I said to the woman behind the counter what had happened, and that it's obvious they'd been returned previously, (Argos selling retuned faulty goods). She barked back, "that's not proof".
When I said I'd like an Argos voucher as a good will gesture, the manager for the day, shoved a piece of paper at me and told me to "ring customer service", in other words "get lost".
So after all that, Argos selling faulty goods, let alone selling goods that had been previously returned by someone else. My time wasted, 18 mile of my petrol burnt. I've still got no bathroom scales, and I'm out of pocket because of the shambles that is Argos.
This is a constant reoccurring trend at Argos, if you like receiving someone elses broken faulty castoffs, and being out of pocket through no fault of your own, by all means shop here. Will I be returning? No.
