I like this place, it's a bit weird though. First of all, it's super dark. But it's kinda nice, think expensive bar in manhattan. The seats are a bit annoying - you can't sit on them without sort of laying, which might be fun but you can't hear a conversation properly!
The drinks on offer are where the bar shines a lot - they have EVERYTHING. It's great if you like your real ales or interesting beers because there's so much choice.
My favourite is the passion fruit beer (bottle in the fridge) but be warned - it's pricey. I think it's a fiver. Totally worth it to me as it's imported, delicious and unique, but I appreciate it's a steep price for someone who just wants to grab a 'beer'.
However there's plenty of draft beers on so you should be spoilt for choice.
There's always an interesting (if not a bit weird) selection of music on, it turns up obviously as the night progresses.
They have the most fun quizzes EVER - think a quiz entirely on Alan partridge for instance. And they're NOT EASY!
There's fair priced little homemade pizzas which a lot of people really enjoy - and you just take it back to your table when it's ready, which is a plus point when you get peckish.
There's also a kinda teeny canteen area that is reminiscent of where American teens would fall in love - also a big room with ping-pong tables and arcade machines which is there for a bit of fun if you wanna walk about or do something a bit different.
Please change the chairs! Other than that it's a great place to kick back and enjoy a rather chilled & easy place to drink with friends.
If you just fancy a pint by yourself - You wouldn't come here alone by the way - you'd feel waaaaay too exposed! Head to the broadfield if that's the case :-)

I was not expecting anything at all from the looks of the outside. But once. I got in. I was genuinely shocked. Nice bar, decent smelling food. Ping pong table. Would be good for large social gatherings.

Really good pizza here and reasonably priced drinks. Went here for LAN Gathering event and had a really good time.

Good atmosphere and chill staff make for a great night. Ping pong and arcade machines make for an awesome time.

Converted cinema offering great food albeit a simple menu, large bar, outside seating and huge table tennis room. Steep stairs down from street level but probably ramp access to the rear of the building. A favourite venue.
