Room is incredibly dated, basic and well-worn. It's one of the cheapest hotels in the city centre so you do get what you pay for. One of the rooms I booked for a friend did have blood stains on the floor, however. No matter the price, there is no excuse for that. The 3 star review comes from the 4 rooms I booked in one stay for friends. The only major issue was the stained carpet...

Well placed in the middle of the city centre so easy to walk anywhere you need, check in and out was easy and quick.
The room was well sized and clean, however I was given stained bathroom towels and the heating system would not turn off so I had the windows open which created a lot of noise, making it very difficult for me to sleep, as well as the bed being quite hard and uncomfortable. My lock on the door would not work so I was paranoid that someone would come in during the night. The hotel definitely needs upgrading but it is value for money as I paid £27 for the night, with a TV and a bath/shower.
There is a Tesco express just around the corner in case you need to purchase anything.
I would stay again but maybe not on the top floor, as I did not like using the lift.

Even if I was homeless and they offered free rooms and food I'd still decline their offer. Terrible place! Sick stained bathroom walls, sick stains by the door, up the wall and on the threshold into the room, which looked recently hurled and remained in situ the long 48 hours we were there. Food choice very limited and then offered as buffet options the following evening. Nothing can be charged to your room and only one card machine in the whole place.. ..20 minutes to buy a bottle of wine for dinner, which was needed to dull the pain of being in this hotel. Only rated a one star because it won't let post without tapping something.

Check in was easy. Parking n car park across the street. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Bathroom could have been cleaner, dirty run marks on sink, toilet and walls. Room on second floor. Was quiet

A very pleasant 2 night stay in a double room with breakfast and evening meal. Food very nice. Clean and comfortable beds. Bathroom clean with bath and shower plenty of hot water. Tea making facilities, iron and ironing board. Hairdryer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only thing to find fault with if only a minor inconvenience was the card entry system on door failed several times having to get new cards reissued twice in our short stay. Would definitely use this hotel again.
