An old fashioned pub in the northern quarter with a good beer selection, friendly staff and a nice traditional pub atmosphere. A regular stop off for me when passing through that part of town.

None pretentious pub and reasonably priced. Busy place but doesn't feel crowded. Easy to get to and great location near to a number of points of interest.

Stayed here for one night, and was pleasantly surprised. My single room was well presented, neat and tidy. The shared bathroom was spacious and again neat and tidy, with no issues as regards to hot water and use when I needed it. Breakfast was excellent, would definitely stay here again.

Spacious pub with your average selection of drinks, music and a pool table, but the hidden gem is their beer garden out back, which allows for a pint outside without all the buzz of the NQ

Recently undergone a revamp which has been a significant improvement. The beer is fairly well kept and is somewhat cheaper than some of other establishments in the area. Worth visiting for a pint or two on a weekend afternoon if you fancy somewhere not too busy and overpriced in the northern quarter. More of a traditional pub than most of the trendy pubs/bars surrounding it.
