Lots to look at (obviously), good layout, friendly and helpful staff, great exhibits and lots of signage so you know where you are and where you're going. Only downfall is even though the doors close at six, the galleries and exhibits close at around 17:30, so we had to leave earlier than we would have liked. Good time to visit the gift shop though!

A national treasure which never fails to disappoint. Every time we visit we discover something new; today we enjoyed the human biology section as it was very interactive and a great learning platform for my children. The skulls in the evolution section were fascinating.
My son particularly enjoyed visiting the National Geological Survey shop to buy some fossils/crystals. The assistant was incredibly helpful, child-friendly and patient while my son chose the stones he wanted. We’ll be back!

Amazing place to visit in London! Beautiful architecture, lots to see and fascinating exhibitions! Love the newly refurbished mineral section! Really make history and science come to live! Found the museum education and peaceful. Plus it's free!

I really don't understand how someone can rate this museum any stars under 5.
It is a great place, lots of animals to see, dinosaurs, sea life, amazing building, free entrance, what else would you want?
I really love the place, no negative apart from the restaurants which can be expensive for some.
But bring your own snack and you will be fine.
Highly recommended for both children and adults. My daughter loved it. Everyday she is saying she wants to go back to see the dinosaurs.
Make sure you allocate plenty of time as it is very big with many things to see. We spent 3 hours and didn't manage to see all of it.
We will return to finish and visit the science museum.
We have been on a working day so not so busy. Not sure about the weekends but might be busier than normal.

Amazing museum, free entry but with this often means plenty of people. Attend if possible on a working day, I probably wouldn't go on a weekend due to this factor. However, this place is literally incredible. Visited here at school, as an adult and still love it. Spectacular building, exhibitions etc. However, do note that some of the exhibitions inside (I wanted to see the wildlife photography exhibition) but for one adult ticket it was almost £30!
