Only 1 person at the front desk was very nice. A couple of the others had an attitude, especially the owner of the property. She was nice until we cancelled the room because of issues that existed with it upon arrival and she tried to make excuses as to why the room was in the condition it was.
Upon entering the room there were issues with the light fixtures, missing bulbs and one was hanging out of the socket. When the bathroom light was turned on it blew out and tripped the breaker. The toilet seat was not the proper seat. Part of the bowl was not covered because they installed the wrong seat for it and the beds were hard. The room also had a funny odor and the price they are charging for the room is not worth it. It should be 20 pounds a night if that and to make matters worse after a couple of hours upon arrival we went out to get something to eat. Upon our return the front door was locked and there was a note posted "be back in 10 minutes." The person did not have a specific time as to when they left, so we waited 20 minutes outside until they got back so we can get into the hotel. After a long night of travelling and encountering these issues it's not a good experience, especially when you have an elderly parent. Then we were charged a cancellation fee because we decided to go somewhere else which we felt, we shouldn't have to pay because of the things we encountered.

Very friendly, lovely place to stay bed very comfortable, breakfast was ok. Great WiFi. Shops really close and Hyde Park just over the road. Had a fantastic stay. Thank you all at Normandie hotel

- The free WiFi did not work.
- The reception was locked when I arrived and there was no way of alerting any employee that I had arrived.
- Most definitely not suitable for any differently abled bodies as it was extremely difficult to get up the stairs to find my room.
- Sheets smelt of smoke
- Windows leaked during the rain downpour.
- Their policy that they have no responsibility if anything gets stolen r goes missing is a little disconcerting as it doesn't really seem like the most trustworthy space.
