Went for a couple of Sunday roasts, which were great, really really great. Still, they weren’t worthy of the £18 price tag. Those are nigh-on Hawksmore prices and it’s no Hawksmore. Overall with a Bloody Mary and a pint it came to £56. Still, service was great and the place was rammed. Recommend booking in advance. The bill came with a recipe for brownies (see photo) which we duly baked up that evening. Lovely little touch. A very pleasant afternoon.

Really nice pub, good service and good food. Have been many times and never disappointed.

I really like it here. The menu is a very weird combination of quite gastro/experimental appetizers and some delicious hearty pub food - the chicken and avocado sandwich is huge and amazing, the burger is also very good. Specials change constantly, atmosphere is chatty and vibrant and the staff are efficient. Great spot on Bermondsey St, pretty easy to get a table too.

Enjoyed a lovely evening with a friend here. I liked the sound of the small plates, so had 2 of those rather than a main. She had the main, a fish dish from the specials menu. Like restaurants low on formality and high on good choice of food and drinks. I had a crab risotto and a beef shin gnocchi, which I enjoyed greatly. Full of flavour and quality cooking.
My only complaint is that it could have been hotter when it arrived, but I do like my food boiling hot. Borderline lukewarm food appears to be a modern restaurant disease. As is loudness caused by hard surfaces. We sat right by the open door (made possible by a rare warm night in London), so was better than if we were sat inside.
Service was wonderful, thanks to Caroline and Amy who served us. Relaxed, efficient and friendly.

Charming little place well located on trendy Bermondsey St 10-12 minutes walk from London Bridge tube station. Refreshing pre-dinner cocktails (try the Hugo). Food was okay. The puddings were delicious (brownies were lovely, as was the Eton Mess). Service was good. We booked in advance and recommend you do because it gets crowded.
