Why for a Michelin restaurant is the food and service so hit and miss?
Came back to give it another try as we are both foodies and Angela groopies as we love Italian simple food done with a flair. Other than a very heard working James who tried to bring it back for us I can honestly say with all the other great restaurants in London we will give this one a miss.

service started off fine, lunchtime deal food quality was very variable, complaints just led to service becoming aloof and indifferent

Excellent flexible tasting menu (6 courses each with a choice from 4) and wine pairing really a treat. Food is fantastic and quantity more than sufficient to feed a hungry man.

This restaurant is wonderful. From the cured ham, bread and olives from the start to the delicious petits fours to finish. We are from the brilliantly priced (and delicious) set menu but requested the rabbit tortellini as an extra past course. The restaurant charged us £10, which was so unbelievably generous - given the a la cadge price and how amazing it was. There's a true sense of hospitality rather than being nickel and dimed for every extra. The staff are lovely and quite a feminine feel for a smart Mayfair restaurant.

Food here is simple but delicious and well executed. Using good quality ingredients with capable cooking. From start to finish everything was a pleasure to eat.
The restaurant is classy and stylish, but it doesn't come off as stuffy as the friendly staff makes the place much more relaxed.
