I (sovereign) bitterly wish the refurb never happened. A shadow of its former charm, pulling a dismally different crowd. Why fix what is not broken? To be a cash cow, that's why.

DISGUSTING G and T's and even more disgusting attitide from husband and wife management duo. Lovely pub setting but bad drinks and very unhelpful and rude management. Used to love this pub but I'm afraid you've lost a customer or 10.

Great historic pub. Excellent Sam smith's beer. Go here regularly and always enjoy the experience. Staff very down to earth.

nice Sam smiths. very very high grade old brewery bitter. feels very smart inside, but I think I preferred it before the revamp
