Been here twice in the past month and had a very similar experience both times.

The sound and picture quality are fantastic these are great screens and really comfortable seating.

However on both occasions the lights in the auditorium were not witched off fully so we had reflections in the screen - which took away from the overall experience.

There is no box-office here so you have to buy or pick up your pre-booked tickets from the concession counter - which is terrible when its busy as the service is really slow.

The self service ticket machines don't (that I can see) accept the QR code that you get from booking online so you always have to queue up to pick up your tickets.

The last time we visited the queues for food were huge and the ice cream/sweet counter was only taking cash and not card.

Also, on the last two times we've been there has been no one to check tickets - people were just coming and going from the screens and the only staff were the ones o the food counters.

Sadly it seems as though many cinemas have reduced staff and it always has a cost on the experience - which considering the price of a cinema ticket is not great!

Cinema is OK but to get another visit from me they need to sort the queueing and the lights out!

Friend was asked for ID when clearly over 14, I had ID which said I was 15, my other friend was wearing a 16 badge because it was his birthday. His entire birthday was ruined just because someone asked for the ID of my friend who is 5ft 8 and clearly over 15. It was unnecessary and ruined the experience

Decent place, just so expensive! The Vue cinema in Cardiff is £4 every day. Why on earth has the Longwell Green cinema only allowed it on Mondays? All you get is a jam packed cinema which let's face it, isn't the most comfortable. It's irritating. The rest of the time you're looking at about £11+ for one ticket. On a slightly separate note, I'd purchased some Service Seats through the NHS (Which has a small discount). However, it wasn't that clear how I go about claiming them. I tried to phone them...jeeeeeez! Do yourself a favour, don't bother. Google it - you'll have a better chance of finding the answer. Don't even ask anyone in the cinema, they'll give you a blank look and a "Sorry, not a clue" answer. The place is clean and tidy, and if you go on a non Monday Madness day, it'll practically be empty, but expect to pay through the nose.

Monday madness i think it was. All tickets 3.99£ or something like that, lovely offer, place was tidy. We had to wait around 45 minutes to get served even though there were only about 15 customers ahead of my group. 3 employees, 1 CSR available only. One of them looked like he was going through training, which is understandable, after we've got our tickets and food, the third employee came from inside stating that the cash register she just opened will take only cards. After the movie ended, i couldn't find any open bins, so i left the rubbish i had next to them. Sort out the incredible queue times and your bins and that would get you to 4 or even 5 stars.

Lovely cinema. Queues were quite long to get snacks and purchase tickets. Large drink and popcorn is £8.99 as a combo, but if you buy two or more together it comes down to £5.99 which is good value. They have a Ben and Jerry's scooped ice cream bar, and not too bad of a price. They serve hot drinks, and have a seating area with tables for when you are waiting.
Toilets are clean and the cinema screens are immaculate! Seats are comfy and plenty of leg room in the normal seats. Excellent offer on a monday of ANY ticket is £3.99 (online booking adds 75p per ticket) and you can choose where you sit! All in all, an excellent cinema, great value for money and great evening
