Worst pub meal in years. Chose steak pie. It was a square of soggy pastry top and bottom that had clearly been heated up in a microwave, it needed lots of salt as was tasteless, accompanied with frozen chips and veg, apart from the tiniest bit of carrot that seemed to be fresh smothered in gravy granules gravy. Hubbie had curry of the day, beef madras with rice. His verdict, beef was tough and curry just tasted like curry powder mixed with water and the rice was undercooked. £9.45 each meal.

Dog friendly in specific areas of the bar only,
Which makes seating area very small.

Food wasn't being served until 12 noon which would have been ok but:
Chap serving @bar was displeased that we came in with 3 pugs, so we quickly finished our drinks & headed for the Dog & Gun other end from here same side of road.
This pub is excellent, very warm & welcoming with 5 star food :)
Didn't try the food @Tavern for obvious reasons but it is rated good.

Warm welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone with or without a dog.

Good place to lunch on a flying visit. Decent good if the usual Pub Grub variety. I would visit again.

Love this pub. Great beer. Lovely staff and great value for money food. Always good atmosphere and chatty customers.
