Very rustic campsite. Possibly nice in good dry weather, but not in or after rain. Basic facilities.

Review for glamping, gave it 5/5 stars
First time glamper.
Positives:
1) spacious glamping pod
2) heater provided so it was nice and cosy and allowed our towels to dry effectively.
3) 2 power sockets.
4) Decking in front of pod allowed us to conveniently cook our food with a bit of shelter too.
5) shower/toilet/cleaning facilities in very good condition.
6) BBQ facilities
7) mini convenient store selling snacks/milk/egg etc
8) location was easy to get to.
9) owner Gary provided sleeping mats.
Negatives
1) bit of a walk from glamping pod to toilet/shower.

Lovely site with fantastic views. The shower and toilet blocks are kept clean and tidy. There are 3 showers, 2 male and 2 female toilets, a wash room and washing up facilities in the main building. There are additional toilets in the barn.
The owner operates a small but surprisingly well stocked shop, selling cereal, bacon, milk and other basics. Campfires are permitted as long as you purchase the £5 campfire kit which comes with all the wood you need.
The pitches are kept in good condition, as always, some aren't completely level.
The glamping cabins are well built and have a porch for shelter.
The local inns at Braithwaite are only 15 minutes away on foot.
The site is will situated for easy travel to Keswick, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite and Whinlatter.

Lovely campsite with a little Brook that passes through in the medows field. Woke up with ducks and chickens saying hello. Great views. Owners very welcoming with inside little shop. Toilets and showers always immaculate even in wet weather. We've been back many times and will be back again in the summer.
