Friendly bar staff good selection of beer and great food (Try the Steak Bavette or the Mac and Cheese). Dog friendly too which is always a bonus. The weekly pub quiz is quite difficult too which is nice and they were trying to get a board game night started on a Sunday last time I checked.

Great place! Nice outdoor seating for summer lunch in the sun. The staff are all wonderful. Always nice folk in the pub, very popular for its Monday night Quiz. Quality food and beer. Great for dog's. Also good for family's on Sunday.

Very nice wee pub.
Their monthly Baby Disco is great for kids of all ages - from toddler to P3/4 at least. In the evening, when the children are gone (if you don't count students) the atmosphere is buzzing, but friendly.
Food is great (though they put mustard in the macaroni-cheese which is just weird and not ideal when feeding it to children) - menu's not huge, but what they do, they do well.
Staff are all very friendly.

This place has a good atmosphere and I enjoy going here with friends for a few beers. Would recommend a visit if near by.

A copy of Private Eye in the loo...a sign saying 'toilets for customers and passers by only'...you get that this pub has a thoughtful and friendly vibe.
Add in a few quirks like being dog friendly and welcoming to little people in prams and not having a TV but good music and its a great west end pub.
I also like the food and StMungo on tap
