Great place tucked inside the lane.Always busy but great service and atmosphere. The food is good value too.

Was completely ignored by staff, from walking in to sitting at a table for 20 minutes the staff either stared blankly at us behind the bar or when we made eye contact with the servers they would turn around and go the other way. This is my first time in Glasgow and honestly that's the worst service I've gotten ever. I've never had to leave a place due to being thoroughly ignored. For one of the top 10 bars in Glasgow, I would expect some sort of greeting or acknowledgment.

Lively tavern atmosphere, very friendly staff. The mac and cheese was amazing, but the bacon and brie leans a little too comfortably on the salty side. Overall it's a wonderful place to escape Monday blues, however, be prepared to spend.

Cannot believe comments that complement the staff. This bar has the worst service in the city. This evening the bar was 3 people deep with thirsty customers, meanwhile the staff are hiding at the back till checking their phones, fixing their hair and make up and then wondering, when they get round to serving, why the customers are a bit grumpy! One wonders if the owners/managers of this place are actually in the business of making money!! Sort it out Sloans. A great Glasgow institution needs people who know how to work a bar.
