Nearly refused entry due to my footwear but let loads of folk in with said footwear without any trouble. I hadn't even had one drink yet, so couldn't have been that. Was going in for food as well. Went in, place was quiet except for a group of young girls absolutely wasted to the point of not able to stand in her own causing issues with other people and were still allowed to stay but I was questioned on my shoes.

Best place for a catch up during the week! Lovely staff, nice food and booze, amazing deals on alcohol and food during the week! It can be very busy at weekends though.

I visited One Up on a weekday lunchtime as part of a table of seven. The restaurant/ bar area was quiet and so we had no problem getting seated and served. The burger menu represents relatively good value for money and the choices on offer are good (as long as you want a burger). The burgers themselves could be improved by toasting the brioche buns and getting a bit more flavour into the beef, but the chips are decent and are included in the price too.
