Still to this day, 4 visits down, the best restaurant I've ever eaten in. I never sought to care about steak before this. I introduced my partner to it, and it's her best steak to date. Booking in advance is recommended. The service, decor and menu rotation are all excellent. The steaks include recent market specials from Scotland and world-class Wagyu. A waiter will happily talk you through the details of a whole presentation slab of steaks. Even the complementary bread comes with touches of detail, like a delicious dip and rosemary-salted butter. It's expensive in the evening, but you're paying for quality, and their lunch menu is very reasonably priced.
PS. Take the receipt next door to Heads and Tales for a 20% cocktail discount.

Forgot our starter order but gave 20% discount. Steak selection was great as was the taste. Nice environment as well and knowledgeable staff.

Some of the best steaks in town!
Having started the evening in another establishment searching for steaks, we were warmly welcomed at Kyloe and following recommendations from the friendly staff shared a porterhouse with some beef dripping chips and salad. The atmosphere is cosy when in the booths with some quirky paintings of cows on the walls. Overall it was a great dining experience.

Beautiful steak restaurant with Cowhide seats, cow themed decor and great views of the street below.
The steaks are the reason to go to Kyloe, and are excellent.
The service is very friendly and the smiling waitress helps to make a great time.
Went to Kyloe on the first evening in Edinburgh, loved it so much we had brunch the last Sunday, just before we left Scotland. The incredible steaks are well worth the double trip.
Note that the entrance to Kyloe's is inside the Huxley.

We arrived not having booked a table so had a small stay at the bar before being taken to our table.
Once up in restaurant area we had a wonderful introduction from our waitress who advised me to change one of my steak selections to one of the specials.
The steak was outstanding cooked to perfection, we ordered pretty much one of every side as well. Then ordered more green beans and more chips. I cannot recommend this place enough . It was a special treat for my partners birthday and we had just over 24 hours in Edinburgh. Next time we will book in advance and hopefully bag a table with a view.
The kitche prepared a special personalized birthday desert slate for my partner and tiramisu which she tells me was delicious.
If you are after a tasty steak with amazing side options this is the place for you, depending on what you order price is pretty good !
