Fabulous restaurant with wonderful food and top notch staff. Seafood chowder was exceptional and lamb dish was awesome. Worth it.

Every time I have been here it has been amazing. Back in the day, and it may be the same still, they offered an excellent cheese plate for dessert - the cheeses were from Mellis Cheese, which provide an excellent selection.
If you are in Edinburgh and want a nice restaurant, this is a good choice!

I came here for early dinner on my own. I made a reservation earlier in the day when I happened to be walking by the restaurant. I had the lemon sole with squid ink gnocchi, a side salad, and the chocolate tart for dessert. I didn't think the fish was the prettiest of presentations, but looks aren't everything. It was very good and went well with the delicious squid ink gnocchi as well as the other parts of the dish. I was in the mood for dessert but wasn't sure what to get, and one of the waiters recommended the chocolate tart. It came with a sprinkling of raspberries and goat milk ice cream. I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too sweet and all the flavors blended very well together. Overall, this was a great meal.

Lovely multi level restaurant space. The nautical theme design and decorations really get you in the mood for the great seafood dishes in offer in the restaurant.
The mussels were fresh, and very tasty. The smoked fish platter is great with the different preparations of Salmon and other fish.
The service was very friendly, with the waitresses show that they really cared about the guest having a great meal.

Pros: The scallops and langoustines were so good. The flavor of other foods was good. The atmosphere and the environment made me very comfortable. The desserts were decent.
Cons: There were sands in our razor clams(then they got us another pair but there still some sands)🙃😑🤐.The lobster claw was raw and the crab was not fresh. The starters were better than the mains.
