Very nice. Even asked about food allergies and made a special sauce for one of us which was a pleasant surprise.

Went in a large group of 17 and were well looked after in a nice space downstairs. There is a reasonable set menu. Three choices on each. The food is very nicely presented. Small portions. Small wine list from £21 upwards. All in all nice but a little expensive.

Excited by the excellent reviews, I was looking forward to lovely lunch but ended up being quite disappointed at the quality of the food on offer. For example, the fish cakes should have been labelled potato cakes and even desert was a pitiful dried up stale piece of nonsense that i didn't even touch.
The £11 price point appears to be good value for a 3 course lunch but the reality is quite a different matter.

Best food in Edinburgh !
We visited Bia Bistrot on a Tuesday evening , the restaurant was close to full. Classic interior and food to match. For lovers of classically made food look no further, good honest food cooked to perfection
The food is incredible. Service was exceptional. Professional wait staff with fantastic knowledge on the menu & wines.
We all loved Bone marrow starter , fresh local fish either Hake or Cod.
My partner and I are not usually dessert fans but their hazelnut parfait was delicious.
Wine list is carefully sourced, great value. Some fantastic organic options from smaller producers . One of the best places we've eaten in all year.
Can't wait to come back
