Location is close to university, close to Holyrood Park and near a massive gym. Not so many shops nearby but accommodation there is catered. Rooms are all ensuite.

Very modern housing with very clean rooms. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. It is a bit far from downtown but there are buses and taxis available.

It's a while since I was a student and stayed here for 2 years but I remember it was a good place to start out at Uni. Rooms are ok, you can integrate and it's not too far from the Uni to walk too and from class.

Way Too expensive considering what you get. Very hard bed (with wooden planks under mattress?), Toilet flush doesn't work properly, room looks very old. Parking space available but nearly completely blocked as well as seats/tables for breakfast. At least staff was very nice

Pretty good for student halls. The rooms are fairly small (I was in Baird), with shared bathrooms. The beds were very uncomfortable and creaky. Cleaners kept the rooms and communal spaces very clean and tidy, and the food at JMCC was generally pretty good. Security on-site is good, with 24 hour monitoring from staff. I found it to be very expensive for student halls compared to other universities, and I didn't like how you had to pay to use the washing machines and dryers (£3 per wash, which adds up), especially when you're already paying a lot for the accommodation. Location is great for accessing just about everything in Edinburgh.
