At first glance when you enter this small family owned sandwich shop it appears very well run and has a wide selection of 'fresh' sandwiches and other options such as breakfast. However not everything is always as it appears..... The mayonnaise that is mixed into many of the 'fresh' fillings comes in a large tub that from the moment it is delivered to the last scoop, which often lasts many days, is never refrigerated!!! In fact the owner of the business Simon regularly reassures employees that when a yellowish skin forms around the edges of the tub of mayo its ok to just mix it in. At Legends the sandwich shop there are many hand wash basins that are situated for employees to wash their hands regularly, especially since they make the sandwiches without gloves, but the only person that doesn't wash their hands even after using the staff toilet (which doesn't have a sink) is the Owner Simon who is very hands on and prepares many of the sandwiches.
if you have ever bought a breakfast from legends you would be displeased to know that although the bacon, sausage and eggs are cooked fresh every morning the majority of the time the beans and tomatoes are left in the hot hold compartment over night at room temperature, reheated and served the next morning. if you are unsure about the legitimacy of this review and are a loyal customer of legends, then you should be aware that this review was written by two previous employees that resigned voluntarily due to these unhygienic practices.
