I was looking for fancy dress in Colchester and after seeing this on Google search results I trekked all the way into town only to find that this shop has now closed down!!

Although this shop has a large selection, it has appalling customer service -- less than intelligent shop assistants with an owner who lacks any form of people skills. She's extremely rude. It's fairly expensive and the pricing is inconsistent. One prepackaged costume said £27 on the packet but £33 at the till(!). And as nothing is barcoded, she can charge what she pleases. Also, the changing rooms are dark, smell bad and generally unhygienic. Steer clear tbh, with 1 star is being generous.

mainstation has been trading for over 10 years and we have never had a complaint that has not been resolved or a bad review untill a rival trader has opened. please i ask you to visit the shop to make up own opinion and leave a review of the real mainstation. all costumes are cleaned to a high standard and checked before they are hired out.
