DEcent for real cider (they offer around 6) including some from local maker Dengie. Food is good also, with very large portions. Friendly landlord and reasonable prices make this well worth a visit

Lovely quaint little setting that could be so much more.
They have a little kids climbing frame/fibreglass tree thing in the beer garden and a few chickens running around too. Its not fenced in though. The garden could also do with a good tidy up and some repairs - see photos - really lets this place down unfortunately.
There are 2 sides to the bar one more of a restaurant and the other has the bar games, pool and darts.
Nice enough staff friendly and polite.
