Really poor lunchtime experience. Disorganised, short staffed, had to ask various times for drinks, vouchers for the carvery, wrong food order brought to our table, chicken nugget mixed in with the scampi meal, waiting for over 5 minutes to be served the carvery meat, and then when the manager was approached to advise that the experience had been rather disappointing, we were told very loudly that there was nothing wrong with our experience and we did get a free organic juice. Restaurants show their true colours when dealing with complaints or a bad experience and you did just that. Won’t be going back.

The food is good but organisation of the place makes for a bad experience. Owners should read these reviews and take note.

Can't fault the food, excellent! Not very good about eating me vegetables normally, but the cauliflower cheese, swede mash and leek n onion mix are absolutely gorgeous along with the really tasty stuffing balls and the meat that falls apart without having to cut it. Best carvery I've had in years!
Staff are attentive, friendly and smiley, relaxing background music and beautiful surroundings.

We travelled 100 miles to celebrate our friends children 18th birthday. As our friends have been here several times and highly recommended it they booked a table for 10 people. We were shown to our table where we sat for 20 minutes until we were told we had to order at the bar. We ordered drinks first and were then told we had to queue again to order food. As there were a lot of hens and stags there the queue as quite long. We ordered carvery and went to the section where we waited and waited. The chef knew people were there but ignored us and carried on serving drinks even though the bar staff offered to take over. Think the bar staff were quite embarrassed by his behaviour.
Food was good when we did get it

Me and my family go a couple of times a year and as it was my kids 18th it would be a good place to go,but no! We had to queue up to place our orders for food and there were three people who did not have the carvery and ordered of the menu, so we waited for their food to come so we could all eat together. When we went to get our carvery the chef was at the till and did not come to serve the queue that had formed, even when the staff pointed out the queue, the staff that said they would take over so he could serve us and other guests, which resulted in us waiting to be served for fifteen minutes. When we finally got to our table the others had finished, so we didn't eat together as we originally wanted to. As we payed 180 pounds we we very disappointed with the way it was run and believe that the service did not reflect how much we paid. The restaurant did call us 2 hours before our arrival time to confirm the numbers, if they had informed us of a load of stag and hen parties would be there using their bar area and we would have to queue for drinks and order our food we could of cancelled and gone to a fast food outlet for a 1/4 of the price for the same experience.
