Great local museum, set in an old manor house it shows what life would have been like at the turn of the century. Also got to see the breath-taking Doreen Valiente collection while it was on show in 2016. Magickal!

Varied 100+ year old interiors in the grand house and lovely lawn at rear for lazing around on a summer's day. Supposedly haunted if you're into that sort of thing.

Looks are deceiving. The Preston Manor gives the illusion from the outside that it's just a regular building but step inside and you go back 100's of years of Brighton's past and how people lived. It's always so much better to learn about history in real time! I also saw Doreen Valiente’s who was coined "Mother of Witchcraft" there was also Gerald Gardner’s original, handwritten Book of Shadows... I expected it to be much larger but for what was shown it was good. Be sure to venture into the garden within Preston Park. Now that's very nice!
