Last time I was there they clearly overlooked me to serve others. Shame, as I was meeting a party of 9 altogether to eat Sunday lunch, so it was they that missed out.

Large bar with few people in it. Friendly and efficient staff. Enjoyable experience. Could have been a little more lively, and the drinks were a little pricey though

The pickled kitchen does great food especially the Sunday roast which we've had twice here before (once after the Brighton Marathon!). Today was a bit of a disappointment in many ways, the food was not up to the same standard - though it was still better than many other pub roasts. We had a ridiculously long wait for our food (almost 2 hours!). Having said all that, the staff were great in the circumstances, they were clearly under staffed today. They kindly sorted us out a round of drinks on the house. Definitely would be 4 or 5 stars if not for the wait, we'll still go again for sure.
