Excellent waiter French accent who served us. Very attentive. Food was well presented and well cooked. Some items seemed expensive but fair value on the whole.

You can't beat a waterside breakfast on a weekend and this is a prefect place to come.
We're down most weekends and have eaten here on many an occasion and only once was the food a little sub-par, quickly and effortlessly rectified by the waiting staff though.
I'd thoroughly recommend the place for both food and location. If you fancy a short walk before, park up in Ovingdean (free opposite St Dunstan's) and take the undercliff path for some lovely sea views - about 30 min each way, or simply park up at the Marina (free for 4 hours) and your 5 min away.

Ambient atmosphere with romantic lighting and classic jazzy French music, this is the perfect place to dine. Cafe Rouge is my favourite restaurant chain because of it.
The food is also divine and wholesome made from fresh ingredients. The steaks are utter heaven.
It's a family friendly restaurant with a gorgeous chatty atmosphere and the staff are always so kind.
It consistently provides perfect good and a perfect atmosphere.

went there for a work meal out: good service, waiter looked after us very well and was there whenever needed, wine and food very tasty. some of us had veggie options, some fish and some meat and everybody was happy with the food; also good size portions so none of us left hungry, especially after having nice puddings. price wise: good value as the bill came to £170/£180 (roughly) already inclusive of service charge (tip) between 5 of us & 2 bottles of wine. went there again for breakfast and yet again very good experience. definitely would go back again and recommend to visit for dining regardless of the time of a day
