So glad I discovered The Fitness Room-what a find. My friend invited me along a year ago and I have never looked back. Beki and Ant are so welcoming and enthusiastic you feel at home right away.
I am 55 years old and was initially hesitant and anxious about keeping up with others who are fitter and younger and feeling out of place. I couldn't have been more wrong. The one thing that sets this place apart from others is the warm, friendly atmosphere and the complete absence of judgment on ability, shape and age. Everyone just seems to 'fit' in right away and all the other members are supportive and encouraging and the 'Fitness Room Bug' that they all talk about is contagious.
Ant and Beki are so knowledgeable, the HIIT routines/strength classes change regularly so you never get bored, work every part of the body and their enthusiasm keeps you going and is inspiring.
I have even started personal training sessions with Beki and have managed to lift weights for the 1st time in my life and have surprised myself with what I have achieved. Last year I even felt confident enough to enter Tough Mudder with TFR team-I had the best day ever and loved it.
After years of slimming clubs and dieting I have ditched the scales, eat healthier, feel fitter/ stronger than ever and want to improve even more.
In addition it is the best antidote for stress-go the fitness room and you soon forget a bad day :)
I will never be the youngest, fittest, super slim or strongest-but I will be the best I can ! THANK YOU GUYS !!!

from someone who was 16stone plus when I started here and a size 20 I cant rate this place enough. I joined July 2016 after having to stop running with a run club due to chronic sciatica. Some friends from the club had joined The Fitness Room so I thought I would give it a go. I have never regretted it my core is now stronger and I no longer suffer from sciatica and I'm fitter than I have ever been. My biggest fear in life was that I would die too young like my dad who had a multitude of illnesses due to unhealthy lifestyle and I didn't want that. I've started the park runs again now and running better than I have ever done and recovering quicker too. I have dropped 3 dress sizes now a 16's my weight hasn't dropped a lot but the inches have and I now have some shape, definition and biceps!! I have stopped buying my dinner out at work and now mass prep at weekend for the week ahead which saves me a lot of money and I have been able to use the extra money to pay for a PT session with Beki once a week.
I cant thank Beki and Ant enough for continued support and to all my fitness family too. This has truly changed my life

What a last 12 months I have had at The Fitness Room. I can't recommend the place enough for a healthy mind and lifestyle. The family at The Fitness Room is one of the most welcoming and encouraging I have ever come across. Beki and Ant have created the perfect environment to train in and are always on hand, in and out of the gym, to offer their advice and support. I am looking forward to many more years of training with these amazing and aspiring people.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere and excellent leadership. Classes are tough but challenging and both trainers are on hand for any advice you might need to improve your workout. They help build your confidence and take you out of your comfort zone to show you just what you can achieve. I'm stronger, fitter, healthier and happier. Credit due to The Fitness Room.

I've never been one for group exercise but after training with the owners Anthony and Beki I've found its the best way to train! I've been going to the classes now for 18 months and love every single session. They are helpful and supportive and are constantly pushing you to help you improve and only ask that you try as hard as you can! The atmosphere they have created is amazing everyone makes you welcome and part of the team. I started training with Anthony on a one to one basis last August and the change I've seen is amazing. I'm stronger, fitter, more confident and just generally happier through being pushed past the point where you want to give up. Just give it ago and you will not regret it!
