Nice people and one of the best options for vegeterians in the city. This place is perfect also if you want to try something different. The risotto is a must :)

Great vegetarian food. Small place so must book a table. Lots of offers via Facebook.

A bit cramped up place but fantastic environment inside. My first time ever in a vegetarian restaurant and I was a bit apprehensive of how good the food will be. The food was great! Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff were polite and friendly. I strongly recommend this place

Good vegetarian option! I had a nice homemade focaccia with sun dried tomatoes and hummus for starter. The mushroom risotto for main was delicious! And the rice donuts with mango and coconut was a really surprise desert. The service is quite fast and attentive. The space is not to big but good to not stay too much crowded. I had a table reserved but seems OK to walk ins.

We were actually really keen on sampling 1847 as part of the Birmingham Cocktail weekend. Lovely location within the Great Western Arcade and the reviews look good.
The first time we tried to have a drink we were told that there was no seating available which is understandable as it's a small place and there were a lot of people there. We were however told that the group sat outside had been there for an hour and may move on soon but when we looked the group didn't have any drinks left so surely could have been encouraged along.
Second time we came back they actually weren't serving cocktails between 3pm and 6pm. Normally that would be OK given 1847 is a restaurant and not a bar and they were probably having a bit of a break given how busy they were earlier, but they had signed up for Birmingham Cocktail Weekend and we'd gone there especially for that, so to not serve drinks was a little mystifying.
