The restaurant has a nice ambience and the waitress was attentive. The wine was lovely, and they had a great selection, but thats where the positive comments end. The starters were ok, nothing special. We ordered the duck and lamb shank as mains. They were truly awful. The lamb shank was fatty and the duck breast was tough. I couldn't cut it with my knife. Its a shame as i have heard great reviews and im not usually fussy. Not sure if i caught it on a bad night but will not be going back

My husband really enjoyed his chicken and my seabass was tasty. Lovely evening in the lovely local restaurant.

Absolutely terrible! I would never ever go back and would never recommend anyone to go there! We waited for starters for more than an hour! We wanted to leave, but we had pre-paid meal, so we could not! Other costumes left and asked for refund- they were told to come back during the week! How disgusting! My friends were not from birmingham and would not be able to come back so we stayed. I wish we left! It took almost two hours then for our main meals to come! There was no apology- only when we were very angry! Even then we did not get explanation why we waited for so long! No offer of free drink or nothing! We were told by manager that everything is being cooked from fresh and therefore it takes so long! Really? Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that it is normal for restaurant to cook from fresh!
It ruined my hen night, night which I should remember as one of the best ones in my life! We spent there nearly 4 hours-for 3 course meal! We did not want to pay for our drinks but manager was very threatening and in the end we paid for everything! Apparently someone was supposed to offer us a bottle of wine- apparently it is a company policy- it did not happen. Anyway- it was 6 of us and one bottle of wine would not be very satisfactory.....7cl of house wine for 6 people- you do the math! Extremely disappointed!
