Our tickets needed to be picked up at the front desk rather than at the electronic kiosks but it was still quite fast and the facilities met our expectations.

I would rather go by train to Dublin than the coach, it's clean and less hassle.

Coffee in upper crust nice but a bit expensive, coffee from newsagents cheaper but rather bitter. Staff friendly and helpful. Re comments in other reviews, regular commuters like me have I- link card to swipe through gate.

Despite the name this station is not actually in the city centre but as the city is compact this is not really a problem. When you arrive don't get upset there is a free bus service to the city centre [if you have a valid rail ticket]. To the best of my knowledge you can also travel between Central and Great Victoria Street at no additional cost.
The station itself is very basic and unattractive. My experience is that the shop or cafe do not accept Euro which is a bit annoying. As well as not accepting Euro the prices are way to high so avoid buying within the station.
