Not often we both look at what we're eating and decide not to continue. but today's small plates were dreadful. Also straight calamari a first for me.

The burger and bacon was nice but came with a McDonald's Big Mac type sauce and lettuce which ruined it. Fries were warm and minimal. No extra salad. Complete rip off for £9.

Nice cosy pub. Clean and tidy. Good drinks. Not a bad selection of food. Reasonable price.

Spotlessly clean, lovely seating areas, with a different feel to different parts of the restaurant, including cozy lounge area, and outside seating. Food was very good, lots of choice, reasonably priced. Excellent location , walking distance to all popular sights in Bath.

We had a reunion which had been organised with the establishment. We had been in the bar from 1130 hrs onwards. We were having a great time catching up on old times. At about 2030hrs the head doorman came over and removed a table from where we were sitting. We had only occupied 3 4 seater tables between us which we had been at all afternoon. The head doorman gave no indication of why he moved the table so we moved it back where it had been.
At this point he came over and asked us to leave, when we questioned why we had to leave he said we were being unreasonable. I asked him why he moved the table without asking us he said" this table is reserved for the DJ", I asked when this was reserved and he said " at 1400hrs that afternoon and we had removed the reserved sign" I then said that we had been there all afternoon and no sign had been put there. The head doorman then basically said the he didn't like our attitude and called the remainder of the door staff to remove us. I then questioned what exactly we had done wrong to be ejected from the bar. His reply was I don't like your attitude. Throughout the whole situation we had been polite and remained calm. The only decent door staff were his subordinates who at least had the decency to talk with us. We left the establishment without incident.
As a head doorman he should have talked with us and explained the situation to start with rather than bull dozing his way in without explanation. Then to not even have the decency to talk to us and basically lie to paying customers.
He managed to ruin a really great afternoon at that point. We did move to another established who welcomed our party.
The head doorman as a manager should be ashamed of the way he handled the whole situation.
