First time we have ordered from this takeaway. Disappointed, my Tiger Special with Lamb had a harsh unpleasant flavour and the Lamb was very tough and not tender at all. The chicken noodle had small pieces of dry chicken in noodles that had congealed and was very bland. The Chicken Tikka Masala for some unknown reason had a very sweet sugary sauce. The Mushroom Bhaji was bland and unappealing, the Onion Bhaji also lacked flavour. The Pilau Rice had small clumps of red and yellow rice coated in very obvious splashes of red and yellow food colouring. The Plain and Peshwari Naan were okay, the Peshwari lacked sultanas/raisins (i always look forward to that burst of warm fruit) but it did have plenty of coconut. The plain Poppadoms were not very crispy and the spiced poppadom was burnt and in pieces. The only thing that we did like was the Chicken Pakora, couldn't fault it at all and the small container of Spiced Onions.. Frankly, we wasted nearly £40 on a very disappointing meal. Needless to say, that is the first and last time we shall order a meal from Spice of Bengal.
