The Carmelite is trendy and well located, but it comes with a price: noise! The establishment is a pub with rooms, music, live piano, and the noise from those smoking outside makes it hard to get a good night sleep, unless you use the earplugs you will find in your nightstand (see pic), and risk not hearing your alarm in the morning.
The breakfast is absolute chaos. Expect to be at breakfast between 40 and 50 minutos. No warm dishes available in the buffet so plan on ordering and waiting and waiting. The lack of response and empathy from the breakfast staff makes the wait seem longer. The food is plain, hard to understand the delays.
Finaly, the shower is worth mentioning too. The floor in the shower is made of a metal grid that feels terrible and makes horrible noise. Never seen anything like it.

Was here for interview. Bar looked stunning and was both trendy and homely at once. Bar staff were friendly and they had a good drink selection.

Lovely staff excellent service. Clean comfortable rooms. Friday Saturday and Sunday's a pianist plays in the bar from lunch to midnight. Lovely atmosphere. It's open to non residents for food and drinks.
Scott front of house has been so helpful and friendly. He is a wonderful ambassador for the Carmelite Hotel.

It's so quirky in the carmelite hotel. I went for dinner just at the time when the afternoon tea was ending. The place was full with people from all age groups. The food was delicious , service great and ambiance perfect.
