It is the first airport in the UAE, built in 1932 and then turned into a museum highlighting the history of flight in the UAE and the region. The airport has been used in 1930s as a staging post for commercial flights en route from Britain to India.

Excellent museum... One of the hidden treasures of knowledge...worth visiting...It will take you to the ancient era of aviation & modern days...very good staff... Kids will enjoy.. Nice place to visit with family.. Their documentary is superb..

BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED LEGACY. EXCELLENT PLACE FOR AVIATION BUFFS AND FAMILIES. IT'S GEM OF A PLACE FOR A VERY REASONABLY PRICED FAMILY OUTING.
Also they screened a free movie for kids on 16th march. On top of that provided free pop corn and excellent treatment by museum staff. Thank you Al mahatta museum. Stay blessed guys.
