Saying I was disappointed was an understatement, I got the consulate no on google called about a document I needed, the guy that spoke to me first of said they don't issue such document until I insisted that other Consulate issue the documents, he then checked with someone and later said I should come. he even asked me if I was a Nigerian? if I wasn't would I be asking from them? My accent and the guys is the same. But that was not the big blow, I headed to the address I saw on the internet and later discovered they have moved away from there. I started calling the no i saw on the internet, believe me, I had 2 other people calling this no same time as i was and for 2 solid hours no one picked up. After 2 hrs someone lazily picked and said they have moved to another location. My question is, who should change that information for them on the website? Me? Mr president? I discovered later they have actually moved a long time ago. Same behavior they exhibit in any government office back in Nigeria is being exhibited here. What if I was in danger that day? and calling my consulate was my only saving grace. Now, I couldn't get the document until Sunday. What a mess? I believe we can do better.

I must say I had a very bad experience with the lady, at the Nigerian Consulate in Satwa, to be more precise she is definitely not a lady who interviewed me, but an uncouth woman who needs to groom her way of talking to Indian Candidates and other candidates who might have faced the same problem as me. Iam of Indian Nationality married to a Nigerian. I am a resident of Dubai as i work here. I applied for a tourist visa for Nigeria as i wanted to visit my Husband. I was called for the interview on 26th July and answered every question truthfully to whatever she asked me. I spent AED 1,748/- for my visa application and other processing fees. I barely came out of the consulate and was on my way back home, when i got a call stating my visa was rejected. I was so depressed and wondered what was the reason as i wanted to visit my husband. I was not satisfied and then the next day i went back to the Nigerian Consulate in Satwa to meet that woman who interviewed me to ask what went wrong. The Receptionist informed me that she DIDNT WISH TO MEET ME AT ALL ESP ON HEARING INDIAN CANDIDATE. I pleaded her and still she said that she got a scolding from her because i insisted on meeting her. I sat in the Reception feeling very depressed and was wondering what to do. Then the woman who interviewed me came to the Reception. I was happy she came down to see me but was surprised and shocked at her indecent way of talking to me. I walked up to her and she gave me such DIRTY LOOKS, spoke to me in the most ruddest and indecent manner. She said that she didnt wish to speak to me and also said "JUST BECAUSE THERE IS NO SECURITY TO THROW YOU OUT AT THE GATE, YOU THINK YOU COULD ENTER AGAIN?" In front of other people who were sitting at the Reception she spoke to me so rudely. I felt very insulted but still tried to talk to her to ask why was my visa rejected. She thinks Im some kind of Dog or what? She took AED 1,748/- for my visa charges and spoke to me in that very rude manner. This is absolutely absurd and unethical on her part. I still don't understand why my visa go rejected. I have my husband staying there and want to visit Nigeria to meet my husband and in-laws. I have never been there before and have gathered money to go and visit him since he has been visiting me in Dubai, trying for job, but not working out. I request that something should be done to please look into my application once again and help me get the visa and to take action against that rude woman or else she proves a threat to our Indian Candidates and to her workplace too as I saw how petrified the Receptionist was. I am not complaining but thought of bringing it to His Excellency's notice to help me out please. In my honest opinion, i feel like this is a money making racket, AED 1,748/- going down the drain in a split of a second in spite of me having all required documents for the application. I have my valid legal Marriage Certificate as well. I request your kind assistance please. Thank you and hoping to get a favourable response from your end please.
