Great cathederal from 11th century. Kiev without st Sophia wouldnt be the same.

One of my favorite places to take tourists during my Awesome Kyiv walking tours. Everybody is always in love with the place. Also try to see cathedral not only from the Sophia square but from other more hidden streets.

It's open till 19:30, which is great. I ascended into the Bell Tower, which afforded me a beautiful view of the city. There was much to see and do around St. Sophia's Cathedral. Unfortunately I arrived too late.

Make sure to visit St:Sophia cathedral when in Kiev. This is worth a few hours. Inside the cathedral you will be able to see 1000year old paintings.
