First off, Canopy is not for everyone. If you're looking for all-you-can-eat hotpot or oil-laden cheap eats, this is not the place for you.
What it does offer, along with the usual cafe fare, is wonderful home style Cantonese cooking--one dish per day in a set that includes nourishing slow cooked soup. I've never been disappointed with what's offered and very much appreciate their attention to detail: carefully cooked rice, freshly prepared dishes, great soup. It's like eating at a Cantonese friend's place (well, one that really knows how to cook)!
With gracious service (the lovely HK couple who run this place are fluent in English) and a quiet relaxing space, Canopy is a real gem in the NTU/Wenzhou Street neighborhood. Recommended!
