This was one of the highlights of our trip to Geneva! We could not believe this was free. You could easily spend an entire day roaming around these beautiful gardens. The only downsides are that you cannot bring your dogs (even on leash) and when we were there in October the childrens carousel was not running. There is a simple cafe in the center to grab lunch which is convenient (food was only ok) and the location was easy to find. Lovely gift shop as well. Overall truly a treasure and a great way to pass a lovely day if you are interested in gardens or botany, or need some space for kids to run around and explore. There are some animals to see as well.

Huge educational park in the city known as "international city" and "city of parks", therefore I was rather disappointed to know that most of the plants labels/caption are only in french.
Also there is a big electrical fence quite exposed. Worried for the fate of children there.

There are many wonderful things to see within the botanical gardens, and not just plants! It's a great place for a break from city life to wander around and relax. Along the way you'll find conservatories you can walk into as well as various different kinds of plants. In addition, there is a section of the park containing black swans, flamingos, chickens, deer and sheep! This part is also very close to a wacky carousel ride like nothing you've seen before. There are benches and tables placed throughout the park for when you're wanting to sit down, as well as a shop and restaurant.

It's a great park. Go there and take a book to read between people watching from a bench. And enjoy the plants.

Beautiful gardens, great range of plants and garden spaces. Gardeners and casual visitors will enjoy it. You can have a full meal or a tasty snack at the restaurant. Geese, flamingos and deer add to its charm, especially if you get to see the deer enjoying a shower from the sprinklers.
