Very nice informal atmosphere.. They offer swedish dishes, for the kids they just give smaller portions. The food was nice the free small salad bar and complementary coffee topped our lunch. We liked it here.

Great location close to the cathedral and University. Lots of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. There muffins are fantastic. Very good food if you are in the mood for Swedish food.

We found this place accidentally and it was a great surprise, very cosy restaurant with a nice atmosphere and delicious food. We tried the lunch menu (consisting of a meat, fish or veggie option plus free drinks and salat buffet, all for 120 sek), great value for money.

While the (small) main course was very well cooked and presented beautifully we were extremely disappointed with the so-called cheese 'platter' we were served for dessert. We were told that the platter was not sufficient for two people which was odd as a platter of cheese is normally meant to be shared. We ordered two but the 'platters' arrived and they were a total let down. The three morsels of cheese tasted fine but certainly did not stand out and there was barely a thimble-full of each. I regret not sending the dishes back particularly considering how extortionately priced they were; there was absolutely no value for money.
The service was also rather disappointing. We ate on a quiet Tuesday evening and, considering we were the only customers in the restaurant for the majority of the meal, the waitress forgot to give us cutlery twice and stood over us as we were paying the bill at the table which we found to be rather uncomfortable.
Overall, despite the historical setting, there are far better restaurants in Uppsala with better quality food and far more attentive waiting staff. Do not waste your time here!
