Museums are hard to make interesting but the biat museum at Åland is as good as I'd imagine any contemporary maritime museum to be.
Lovely models, actual boat parts, try-it-yourself parts as well as good kids entertainment bits as well.
Not beyond this world but very good.

Very nice small looking but really much bigger ant more time consuming than expected. Well done museum. Good and intersting indoor displays and of course the windjammer "Pommern" is very interesting to explore.

An exceptionally well constructed museum. Much bigger and more time-consuming than it looks. Very good indoor displays, especially regarding the 'Grain Race', and of course the Pommern is great fun to explore.
