One of the museums worth exploring when passing Kristianstad is the Artillery museum, as it is intrinsic to the towns heritage. It is based just outside of town next to where the old artillery regiment has it's barracks. The museum will walk you through both the history artillery and the regimental history, and it was the last Swedish regiment in battle during the 30 year war. There are also an exhibition on Kristianstad as a garrison town and an extensive collection of military vehicles. You can easily spend a couple of hours here and if you have time then try the guided tour. You will also gain entry to the exhibition in Rinkaby, about a very contentious piece of Swedish history on how Sweden repatriated war refugees after WW2, which also is well worth seeing and reading about. Check on their opening times as they have limited hours outside the summer holidays.

Gamla minnen kommer åter. 331 dagar tillbringade jag med dessa pjäser. Här visas även mängder med bilder från gamla Kristianstad. Väldigt intressant och väl värt ett besök.
