I really enjoyed my time there. Very atmospheric and nice place to visit. Highlights for me were the nuclear submarine, the section on life sailing on a man o war style warship and naval engagement tactics and the lunch buffet is a chance to try some nice Swedish cuisine. Also nice to read about Carl Carlsson, the Carpenter from Carlskrona :D

Very good looking exhibits and it was great to walk around, and inside, the big submarine! On some exhibits the information cards were a bit thin but overall there was loads of great info. The restaurant served good food for a decent prize.
The overall experience was very good and I'd recommend anyone that has an hour to spare to check it out, especially since the entrance is free!

Great museum going through Sweden's naval history, which is long. There is either the submarine part, in which they built a real submarine into the museum, or the standard naval museum going through everything from medieval ship building to the history of diving. So you can make a shorter 1h visit or a longer whole day visit. Entry is free, restaurant on site, bathrooms are free. Parking has to be made farther away from the museum in the city.

The museum offers entry into a real 1980-1990 submarine, that is built into the museum, or let's you board other older war ships that are still in the water, docked to the museum. Also free.
