The botanical gardens (which are really beautiful) just sort of blend into the wider forest. There are marked trails for hiking to keep you busy for days and plenty of opportunity to go off-road if you fancy.
There are also some pretty nice looking mountainbike trails hidden in the trees - nothing official but they are well used and look like fun - if only I had my bike here with me!
